Cruise Description

4 Night Cruise sailing from Las Bachas to Santa Cruz aboard Nemo I.

The Nemo I (also known as the Nemo Martinica) is a 14-passenger sailing catamaran, offering a unique cruising experience in the Galapagos Archipelago. The catamaran was designed and built in France by Dufour & Sparks.

On this catamaran you will experience the Galapagos Archipelago to its fullest. Most social areas are open deck spaces where you will constantly enjoy the most spectacular views of the islands and their volcanic rock formations. These areas include various lounges and catamaran netting at the front. Meals are served in the indoor and outdoor dining areas. When weather conditions permit we can turn off the engines and raise the sails, navigating silently through one the world’s natural wonders.

The rich and spectacular Galapagos wildlife is the most important aspect of every naturalist cruise, but not the single and only factor that paints Holiday memories for the rest of your life. MS/C Nemo I contributes truly to a comfortable and pleasant stay as well. We follow fascinating routes in a more adventurous way, accompanied by an excellent naturalist guide, including time to unwind from the well-filled excursion program. Our chef will pamper you with a rich breakfast buffet, snacks, exquisite warm lunch and dinner served in buffet style. During your cruise you can fully enjoy the unrestrained ambience and personal service on board.

Highlights of this cruise:

Las Bachas
Las Bachas is a white sand beach located on the southwestern side of Santa Cruz island in the Galapagos islands. White sand is interspersed with rocks where easy and safe snorkelling can be practiced. The beach is a nesting site for the Pacific Green Sea Turtle, as well as home to pelicans and flamingos.

Santa Cruz island is the center of tourism in the Galapagos. It is a large island with a variety of geology, vegetation and wildlife. The largest settlement area is Puerto Ayora which is home to the National Park Services and the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Punta Suarez
The southernmost island, Española, is one of the richest wildlife locations in the Galapagos. Located on the western tip of Española is Punta Suarez. A 1.5 mile hike provides incredible views along the cliffs, through Blue Footed Booby colonies and a beach with sea lions and marine iguanas. It is also home to a magnificent blowhole that can shoot water 50 to 60 feet in the air, providing amazing opportunities for spectacular pictures.

Two spots are especially popular with visitors: Bahía Gardner, which has a lovely beach; and Punta Suárez, of interest because of its varied bird-life. This island has its own species of animals, such as the Española Mockingbird, which has a longer and more curved beak than the one on the central islands; the Española lava lizard; the Marine Iguana, which has red markings on its back; among others. Here there are also boobies, Swallow-tailed Gulls and other tropical birds.

Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz island is the center of tourism in the Galapagos. It is a large island with a variety of geology, vegetation and wildlife. The largest settlement area is Puerto Ayora which is home to the National Park Services and the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Other attractions on the island include the spectacular coastal region. On the north shore of the island, accessible only by sea, is an extensive mangrove lagoon called Caleta Tortuga Negra (Black Turtle Cove). The highlands offer visitors a variety of life and geology, particularly the viewing of wild tortoises.
