Highlights of this cruise:

Copenhagen
Modern Copenhagen is an attractive, well-kept city and the largest city in Scandinavia. It has a provincial, small-town atmosphere, gabled houses, narrow streets and a skyline that is dominated by delicate spires. Copenhagen is also the greenest capital in Europe with much of the city center reserved for pedestrians, strict anti-pollution laws, and bikes often outnumbering cars on the streets. There are many green spaces (including the world-famous Tivoli) and in the summer, cafés and restaurants occupy the pavements.

Copenhagen boasts theaters, museums and a lively, surprisingly cutting-edge nightlife scene. The best the country has to offer can be experienced in the capital city, where there are design studios, ultra-hip bars, and modern architecture amongst the 17th-century buildings. A road bridge to Sweden was completed in 2000, making Copenhagen a key focal point for Scandinavia, the Baltic and the rest of mainland Europe.

Belfast
Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom and the second largest city in the island of Ireland after Dublin, the capital of Éire (Republic Of Ireland). Situated at the mouth of the River Lagan on Belfast Lough, Belfast is surrounded by low hills.

After years of violence and political unrest ,in recent years the center has been polished up, and it is a pleasure to wander its pedestrianized lanes, to shop in its upscale arcades, to linger in its historic pubs and to dine in its excellent restaurants.

The city is easily divided into walkable quarters: the City Center spreads out from around the impressive, domed City Hall building and bustling Donegall Square. This is the best place for shopping, particularly along Donegall Place, which extends north from the square, onto Royal Avenue. Bedford Street, which travels south from the Donegall Square, becomes Dublin Road, which, in turn, leads south to the University Quarter, the leafy area around Queen's University. This is where you'll find the Botanic Gardens, art galleries and museums, as well as a buzzing nightlife scene. Heading north from Donegall Place, it's a short distance to the Cathedral Quarter, which surrounds Donegall Street, and holds, as the name implies, the city's most important cathedrals, as well as many vast Victorian warehouses. Finally there's the Golden Mile -- the area around Great Victoria Street beyond Bradbury Place. It's considered the city's best address for restaurants and pubs.

The sectarian areas, with the famous I.R.A. and Protestant murals, are just to the west of the city center. The most famous of these are on the Shankill and Falls roads. It's perfectly safe to drive the roads and take photos yourself, or you could take one of the Black Cab tours if you want a guide to explain what it all means.

Halifax
Halifax is the capital city of Nova Scotia and the largest city in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. The city has a rich maritime history being one of the world's great natural harbours, and an entry point for European immigration to Canada in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Today, Halifax is a busy Atlantic seaport set on a steep headland beside its harbour. The Citadel, an old British fortress with a striking white clock tower, is the town's focal point and most significant sight. Amongst Halifax’s other tourist attractions are the Discovery Center, Halifax Metro Center - a large sports stadium, HMCS Sackville museum, Pier 21, Halifax's Province House and the Cathedral Church of all Saints.

Halifax's main museums and art galleries include Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Fultz House Museum and the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History - full of local exhibits and educational / historic information about both Halifax and the state of Nova Scotia.

New York
New York, New York is one of the major cities in the world and also one of the top tourist destinations in America. Also known as the Big Apple, the lively and bustling metropolis of New York City is full of interesting sights and major landmarks.

Many of New York's major landmarks and tourist attractions are known and loved throughout the world. Some of the top tourist attractions in New York include the Empire State Building , the Chrysler Building, Central Park, Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge and of course the enormous Statue of Liberty.

There are many museums in New York such as the Museum of the City of New York on Fifth Avenue, which houses an enormous amount of New York memorabilia and information. New York also has a large number of top art galleries, exhibiting many works of art from local and international artists.
